Global Service Club
Maggie Swanke - Global Service Club Advisor
MMU Global Service Club is students interested in Global volunteerism, intercultural experiences, and using their time, energy, and efforts to positively impact people and places in need. In the past we have traveled to Tanzania, Africa to build cisterns, to the Dominican Republic for Operation Restoration (environmental work); to Ecuador, providing sustainable agricultural support in a mountain community; and to Morocco to help build a community center.
During COVID in 2020, MMUGSC focused on 'Helping at Home', with local community service projects and free events. As we turn our focus back to the world stage, we will provide construction support to an international peace and justice center, Anaphora, as well as a local school as we plan 'Construction in Cairo' #Egypt2022.
The Club also enjoys a vibrant FUNdraising schedule to assist in defraying the cost of the trip.
If you have any questions please contact Julia Palmer, Club President; Brady Rogers or Lauren Dreibilbis, Vice Presidents; or Maggie Swanke, the faculty liaison, in room 403.
