CLub Synopsis
MMU’s Outing Club is year-round organization based on wilderness experiences that involve students, teachers and parents. The activities include day hikes, backpacking, snowshoeing, back-country skiing and snowboarding, overnight hut trips, and other outdoor-related activities. Anyone who is interested in joining the Outing Club on any of the adventures is welcome to come.
Trips/Events
All trips will be announced on the morning announcements and with flyers around the building. Interested students are also encouraged to enroll in the MMU Outing Club Schoology and Facebook groups. Participants must have a permission slip signed in order to attend trips. Some trips require a small fee to pay for cabin use and/or food. Students are encouraged to come up with and plan adventures that they are interested in doing (day trips, overnights, sea kayaking, backpacking, etc.). Academic advisors will help with the logistics of trips, but hope that students will take initiative and use leadership skills to make the event happen.
