Candy Padula, Theatre Department Director
Candy studied theatre at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and at the California Institute of the Arts. She moved from California to Vermont to start her own theater company called Theatre Factory, which became the theater in residence at Trinity College of Vermont in 1994. Candy became an adjunct professor at Trinity College and ran the Theatre Department, teaching acting and technical theatre classes and directing the Trinity College Theatre Company until the college closed in 1999.
It was then that Candy came to MMU as the Director, Choreographer, and Technical Director for the Theatre Department.
In 2010 she also became the director of the Co-Curricular Theatre Program at Champlain Valley Union High School for a 10 year stint, and it was around that time that her husband, Chuck Padula, became the Technical Director at MMU.
