In 2023, “Impact in India” found students visiting schools, soup kitchens, and wildlife sanctuaries, to engage in service-learning initiatives while soaking up the vibrant and impactful culture of the country. Next year, students will be traveling to a remote village in Thailand to work on a marine conservation project. Activities include setting and collecting crab traps; making structures to add to the coral reef system to aid in the protection of fish, and the elusive dugong, from predators; and assisting in a reforestation project of planting seagrass and mangrove trees.
