Academic Boosters Activities

Every academic year, we provide activities and events that encourage the scholastic efforts of all MMU students and appreciation of the MMU staff.

Examples of events include:

Freshman Breakfast
Ice Cream Celebration
Notes of Encouragement (and snacks)
Honor Roll Rewards
Recognition Night
Staff Appreciation Lunch
Staff Appreciation Breakfast
Incentive Grants for students and staff
Purchase items for the school (e.g., panini maker, microwave)

**Academic Booster meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month, in person 6pm, virtual 7pm.**

Academic Boosters Incentive Grant

The Mount Mansfield Union High School Academic Boosters Committee is pleased to be able to provide Incentive Grants to be used during the school year. These Incentive Grants are to be used to assist in the development of enhanced student learning. Grant activities must benefit the whole school or a group of students (e.g., club, field trip).

What is the Maximum Amount That Can Be Requested?
The Incentive Grants are for an amount not to exceed $500 per grant. The Academic Boosters reserve the right to fund applications at amounts lower than requested or to not fund an application. Grant applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis until available funds have been exhausted (amount available varies annually based on fundraising success).

Are There Activities That Are Ineligible For Grant Funds?
Applications for the following will not be considered for funding:

  • Applications requesting items that are included as part of the regular budget process, such as basic school supplies or salaries.
  • Applications that benefit an individual student rather than a group of students.

Who Is Eligible To Apply?
Any faculty member or student at MMU may apply for a grant that benefits the whole school or a group of students (e.g., club, field trip).

How Do I Apply?
The grant application can be found here. Grant applications should provide a budget, a narrative describing the project with attention on how the grant will enhance academic excellence at MMU, and how success of the project will be evaluated.

What Is The Application Submission Deadline?
Grant applications can be submitted anytime during the academic school year.

When Will I Know If My Application Received An Award?
The applications will be reviewed at the next Academic Boosters meeting after they are received (the first Wednesday of every school year month). Grant funds will be available immediately after a positive decision is made. The Boosters recommend groups requesting a grant consider volunteering at Booster events.
