UPDATE - February 2026 trip to the Fiji Islands in the South Pacific!! Students will work on a building service project with local community members, harvest pineapples, visit the mud baths, hot springs and sand dunes, and take advantage of the relaxed island living. If you were unable to attend the informational meeting on May 20th at MMU you can still contact us at [email protected] to express interest.
We are a group of globally minded students interested in volunteerism through service work. The Global Service Club is a group of MMU travelers who go to a different country each year for a week during February break to do community service work. Run by a former MMU parent along with our three club leaders, the MMU Global Service Club has made traveling possible for anyone in the school. We have a variety of fundraising opportunities, making it more affordable for those going on the trip. Our club has traveled to many different countries; Dominican Republic, India, Egypt, Thailand, and Morocco, each one being an extremely authentic way to see other parts of the world, seeing as we were living amongst the locals in more underdeveloped communities. We will be traveling through Rustic Pathways this year, heading to the Fiji Islands. In our club we make it our goal to help with the communities we stay in as much as we can and leave a long lasting impact on the community.
In 2025, High Atlas Mountain Service found students traveling to Morocco to assist in a community service infrastructure project constructing a road leading out of an Amazigh village, where red clay covered most of the area floor. The village was a beautiful example of the Berber community and culture. Students enjoyed shopping in the souks of Marrakech to round out their trip.
If you have any questions, please contact a member of the leadership team.
