Spawned by a total eclipse of the sun, a new breed of plant life that feeds on human flesh and blood is discovered by dorky flower shop assistant, Seymour Krelborn. Seymour names the plant Audrey II as an homage to his coworker, Audrey. The growing plant attracts a great deal of business for the previously struggling flower shop, which greatly pleases his boss, Mr. Mushnik. But the plant’s need for food grows and Seymour turns to Audrey’s boyfriend, a sadistic dentist, to help satisfy the plant’s seemingly unquenchable appetite.
(This comic horror musical is fun for the whole family, but please be aware that some young children may find the large plant puppets scary.)
This play contains the portrayal of domestic abuse.
Performances are Friday & Saturday April 5th & 6th at 7:30 and Sunday April 7th at 2:00. (Which just happens to be the weekend prior to the upcoming total eclipse of the sun, so beware!)
